The 5 best movies to binge watch this month

Cuddled up under my previously blogged about David Jones Winter blanket (check it out here) and wondering about if my tips on finding the perfect formal dance date is working for everyone except me ;) I decided that it would probably be best if  I did something more constructive with these crucial hours left before my first exam. Something like watching all my favourite movies, back to back obviously, the whole day. But something was stopping me and it wasn’t the hardcore realisation of exams I was pushing to the back of my head with all my new strength I found out I had at the gym yesterday (another procrastination technique if you’re interested ;) ) It was the fact that if I wanted to successfully binge watch all my favourite movies back to back, I needed it to flow smoothly, with an unending list of movies and an unlimited supply of popcorn and Coke. Total binge day. So to help both you and I in our designated binge days, I have created a list of my absolute favourite movies to watch on days like these. Enjoy ;)

1. Julie & Julia
There is a definite reason that this is number 1. My favourite movie ever has unlike previous favourites, reigned for more than a week (this definitely says something) is based on Julia Child's autobiography My life in France and Julie Powell's memoir. If you have a love for French culture, food or just watching other people discover their joy then this film is perfect for you.

2. Breakfast at Tiffany's
The ultimate classic and must watch, Breakfast at Tiffany's features Audrey Hepburn as a young socialite who meets a young man she decides is rather, intriguing. However turmoil erupts when her past threatens to get in the way.

3. Allied
If you enjoy WWII types romances then this is the film for you. Sit back and relax as Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard play the incising roles of war assassins who meet and fall in love. The perfect film for a cosy day in.

4. A United Kingdom
Now you must think I truly am old at heart when I tell you that my 4th favourite, must watch film is also set in a time not so familiar to us. King Seretse Khama of Botswana shocks his Kingdom by marrying a white woman from London sending his kingdom into a political and diplomatic turmoil. Watch as the young couple overcome controversial views and portray their love in a heartbreakingly sweet way.

5. The Holiday
A huge shoutout must go to my best friend who introduced me to this film and created the high stands for love I now have after watching it. Thanks, I'm sure the search will be easier now. Jokes aside, this is an incredibly adorable and wowing romance film that will leave you feeling almost desperate for the love portrayed in the movie. It is possibly my next favourite movie ;)
